Bemidji State forward Matt Read signed a multi-year one-way contract with the Flyers earlier today. Expect an announcement from the club shortly. Read was one of the top college free agent forwards out there, and a really nice signing by the Flyers. They've done a really good job of courting free agents from the college game lately. Read had interest from a number of NHL teams including Minnesota and Columbus. It sounded like Minnesota wasn't willing to bid as high as Philly was though.
