Fighting....

Broad Street Bullies pretty much sums it up that we are one of the better "fighting teams" in the history of the NHL. But I was randomly looking at www.hockeyfights.com and I realized that last year, the flyers had 77 fights. While this year (I do understand that we have not finished the season yet) we only have 39. (The above statistics do not involve the pre or post season)
This year, as you all know we have a much better record then last year. Do you think that the reduced number of fights has any influence on our record etc?
