If I posted this yesterday before the game like I wanted to, I'd be hailed as a genius prophet. Or yelled at for jinxing Bob. Hard to tell.
Im a big Brian Boucher fan. I liked him back in 1999 and was sad when he left a few years later. No one was happier than I when he returned. Part of the reason I like him is that I love yelling "Booooooosh!" at my TV. I also like the way it sounds on TV when the entire arena does it. I've often wondered if the main reason I like Boucher so much is the "Boooosh!" cheer. I don't think so. I'm pretty sure I'd like him anyway, the cheer is just the icing on the cake.
One thing I always hated though was when out of town commentators would feel the need to explain it to their team's audience. "Now, many of you are probably wondering why the Philadelphia fans are booing their goalie. This is not the case. They are not saying "Booooo", they are saying "Boooosh." For you see, his last name is Boucher, which .... blah blah blah."
The attempt at humor in the strip however is that when Booosh makes a routine easy save, or even when the puck gets blocked by a defensemen, I still yell "Booooooosh!" like it was the best save of the season.
