Peter Laviolette announced it this afternoon to a throng of reporters. Sergei Bobrovsky is your playoff starter. Officially, set in stone. He'll get the start next week when the Flyers host Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals (which isn't a jinx -- they've clinched home ice, at least).
Bob will also start on Friday night in Buffalo, while we're unsure who will start the final regular season on Saturday against the Islanders. I'd guess that Michael Leighton gets the start, if only to get a look at him in an NHL game again, since Paul Holmgren said he wanted to do that.
But don't expect Leighton to see ice time or even sit on the bench during the playoffs. He'll be up in the press box with the popcorn and M&M's, as Laviolette also announced that Brian Boucher is the No. 2 goalie in the playoffs.
