The Two O'Clock Number

4 -- Difference in the number of goalies dressed by the Flyers in the 2009-10 season (7) and the 2010-11 season (3).

Sergei Bobrovsky, Brian Boucher and Michael Leighton have shouldered the load on their own this season, while '09-'10 required the talents of Boucher, Leighton, Ray Emery, Johan Backlund, Jeremy Duchesne, Carter Hutton and Game 82 MVP Sebastian Caron.

Put another way, the Flyers have dressed one fewer goalie in 2010-11 than they dressed in the 2009-10 team picture.

What a difference a year makes.

I could get used to just having 3 goaltenders dress over the course of a full season. :)

In a lot of ways, this year’s injuries have been far more detrimental to the team. Subbing between 7 average-to-below-average goalies (and Ray Emery) doesn’t seem to affect your quality of play that much.

This year’s quality of play has been much higher by every measure, though.

There are still two games left for that to change…

This two oclock number thing is really going over like a lead balloon. No offense to you Ben it is a good topic. Have you implemented my idea of the hot female tennis player pic of the day over on the daily forehand? What is your take on that girl doing the dance that sharapova took offense to?

Cmon let’s keep this on topic. Queue WAG pictorial “top 20 Hockey WAG’s”. I mean we want relevance and traffic right? Oh wait, I thought I was reading bleacher.

What is a wag? Do I need to go back to the urban dictionary and should I do this without my wife around?

I can confirm that this is true.

Carry on. :)

Checked it – still not sure what WAG stands for, but your wife should definitely be doing something else when you try to figure it out.

I know it as “wild-ass guess,” which would make sense with his crack at bleacher report.

He was with the team for the October 2, 2009 opener against Carolina. You are sure he did not dress?
