You'll remember back a few weeks, when we presented polls on three of the Flyers' team awards. We took your votes and put them down on our ballot, and as the team prepares to play the final game of its regular season, we know who has won each of those awards.
Via Anthony SanFilippo's blog, here are the award winners.
Giroux was our choice, based on your votes, for the award. He won our poll in a landslide, picking up 58 percent of the vote. We also put down Kimmo Timonen and Jeff Carter in the second and third place spots on our ballot.
Our vote did not go to Meszaros, but this was apparently the closest in the final official tally. We instead selected Kimmo Timonen, who earned 54 percent of the votes in our poll. Meszaros also went on our ballot in the No. 2 spot after picking up 29 percent of the vote. Braydon Coburn got the third spot on our ballot.
Boosh earned a large share of the voting in our poll, and we're happy to see him take home the vote. He was No. 1 on our ballot after winning 41 percent of the votes, while Matt Carle went down as No. 2 and Chris Pronger squeaked in at No. 3.
Those were the three awards that we had a vote on. The players voted for the Pelle Lindbergh Award, which goes to the most improved player. Andreas Nodl is your winner on that one. The awards will be presented prior to tonight's regular season finale against the Islanders at the Wells Fargo Center.
