Hey Hey! Look what Mr. Snider said! He said this, and this...and that too. I've also heard the Mikka Kiprusoff was said to be quietly exhibiting interest of being a Flyer. But seeing how he is signed until 2013-2014 with a $5,833,333 cap hit, it's not really realistic. Ilya Bryzgalov recently dropped his agent and signed the same agent as Marian Hossa did before Hossa got his BIG contract with Chicago, so it looks like he will be pricing himself right out of a contract with the Flyers. He was quoted saying, "I've always got Russia,". So, it looks like Vokoun is the Flyers best option for free agent goalies. Vokoun hopefully won't be too pricey. Our cap situation is in the crapper right now and with the signings of Leino, Zherdev, and hopefully not Carcillo, we can't afford to do too much. We could always try to pry Bernier/Quick away from the Kings. Same goes for Schneider, except we would be taking him from the Canucks. But both respective GM's have squashed any talk about them moving their goalies. The Kings had the chance to move Bernier prior to this year's trade deadline, but chose not to.
Of course, we can't forget about Evgeni Nabokov. With the Islanders tolling his contract right now, he could be a very valuable trade piece to that organization. At $575,000, he could be a very good #1 and mentor to our young Russian. He's probably our best option via trade. (He's really old though)
Poll at the bottom.
I know how much most of you hate Puck Daddy, but check this out! How awesome would this be? A couple of questions though. Will season ticket holders be able to go to this game on their plan if this becomes official? Can this be played at the Linc if the NFL doesn't get their act together? What happens to the Mummers?!
Many fans are moaning and groaning about the Flyers being in the WC again. However, with CSN on the brink of purchasing NBC, it almost seems like it was predestined. I love it! How about you? Comment on this to voice your opinion virtually.
