What kind of plane is it? Oh, it's a big pretty white plane with red stripes, curtains in the windows and wheels and it looks like a big ol' Tylenol.
I was there at that game, sitting in 207A right behind the camera that photographed that gif. Man, those were good times……..

That’s the Mike Richards that gets a pass for not being perfect every minute of his life.

He looks eerily similar to the Mike Richards who played this whole season with a gimpy wrist.
Do you see what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps?
Wait...
Do you mean the same one that raised the Eastern Conference Championship trophy? The same guy who puts his money where his mouth is and dropped the gloves with a dangerous punk instigator that plays for a bunch of flightless birds?

what a moment
Steve Yzerman caught a lot of heat during the decade he was captain of some team before they won some a cup-thinggy.
Whatever happened to him?
I guess those reporters were right, he was just a young gutless captain with no heart, just like Richard’s is.
Never underestimate the sheer stupidity of the general public.

Jaroslav Halak (I know Price is in net)
A goalie I’d pay boatloads of cash for

Halak played that game. Halak played that whole series.
Do you see what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps?
thought price was in net
Still would pay large amounts of cash for Halak

Halak is 26 years old, and of the echelon of Vokoun and Bryzgalov
Only about 5 years younger, which to me makes him a franchise player, like that of Carter

I looked at it as: well if we’re going to bring in someone, I want it to be this goalie
I’m happy with the goalie situation

I didn’t see desire, drive or passion in that play at all.

Btw….sportscenter just ran its top ten playoff comebacks of all-time.
Our boys’ deal they did with Boston last year was #4. Should’ve been #2. I can’t take away what Frank Reich and the Bills did against the Oilers. But, they were better than Knicks/Pacers and Celtics beating the Lakers after being down by 24 in the Finals last year.

We’re hockey and they are ESPN. I expect 4 b/c we aren’t the NFL, NBA, nascar, ncaa football or basketball, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, NHRA, bull riding, WNBA, softball, little league world series.

Hahahahahaha…you included WNBA, bull riding, NASCAR, women’s tennis, softball, et al…….oh, uhhhh, wait a minute. Not so funny as I read it.
They’re still #2 in my book on that list. They did the unthinkable and that team, from April through the beginning of June gave me the best ride of my life.
Even better than my (soon to be ex) wife!

Were they signaling out individual games?
The greatest playoff comeback of all time is none of the four listed above.

I did not think there could be a zanier series-winning goal than the Blackhawks in Game 6 of the 2010 SCF.
Bieska and the Canucks just proved me wrong.

I do feel bad for SJ (their fans must feel snake-bitten), but Vancouver thoroughly earned their spot in the SCF.
I’ll be pulling for them in the Final.

SJ failures in the playoffs are pretty much a guarantee. You can mark your calender ahead of time.

Back to back conference finals appearances are failures huh? Losing to two extremely good teams?

I mean I get they are expected to win…but making it to the conference finals to lose to the Blackhawks last year and the Canucks this year is hardly a failure IMO.

They definitely could have made this series more competitive by winning game 4 – they had LOTS of PP time early in the game and then had breakdowns of discipline in the 2nd period resulting in the trio of 5-on-3 opportunities for Vancouver (which all became goals). If I were a Sharks fan, I would have been furious and/or completely frustrated with the team after that game. And last night’s game could have been a win for the Sharks as well, either in regulation or in overtime (and the overtime winner couldn’t have been more flukey).
Still, I wouldn’t label them failures either – Chicago and Vancouver were/are quite good. (Maybe he meant “failure” in the sense of not getting past a WCF; in that case, he would certainly be right.)
Ah, well…better luck to both our clubs next year.

Yeah the Vancouver series was much closer than the series score indicates. But yeah…I don’t buy in to the SJ playoff failures hype.

I can only agree. I just wish they would end up on the right side of winning a WCF someday…

I frequently watch the history will be made commercial with this goal. It just makes me smile.
I tried to embed the Youtube video when we were talking about Richards. I think this flies in the face of everyone saying he doesn’t want to win hockey games.
Loved this goal.
