I wanted to get on here to see how all of you feel about Raffi Torres as an option for the Flyers next season. He is set to be an UFA next season and I'm not sure if the Canucks have plans to re-sign him, but he only had a cap hit of 1 mil last season which was down significantly from the 2.25 mil cap hit he had the previous 3 seasons. I can't see him possibly getting anymore than 2 mil tops per year, correct me if I'm wrong. My opinion is that he would fit in well as a replacement player for the numerous amount of cap casualties that seem to be on the way, because he is a gritty hard working forward that can score goals and also be an effective agitator without crossing the line (okay maybe there's a few times he crossed the line, but I like a hard hitter). The Flyers are getting soft and this wasn't more obvious than in their pathetic playoff performance against the Bruins and even the Sabres at times. I would love to see them add this guy to toughen up the line up without sacrificing too much offense (Shelly). Thoughts?
