Stamkos is not coming here, just stop

Just to let you guys know, Steven Stamkos is not coming here, it is just crazy to think it will be done, firstly im not in favor of either him or brad richards coming here, it would put us right back in the cap hell that caused today, although i was okay with what happened today... well back to my point, the lightning will not trade stamkos only an idiot gm would do that and as last offseason proved yzerman is a good gm, plus TB had about 27 Million in cap space so dont think they dont have room, and if your saying just toss him an offer sheet, its impossible, even with the picks we acquired today, because the CBA states that RFA draft pick compensation must be done using your own draft picks, which we know all our own draft picks are gone.. bottom line its not happening, please stop these crazy rumors

ok look. People are screaming how well below the cap Tampa is, and the argument is terrible. Why do you think they’re that far below the cap? The Lightning don’t draw. Just because the cap is 64 million, doesn’t mean a team has that much money to spend. Sources are indicating that Tampa simply doesn’t have the money, NOT CAP SPACE, but the money to sign Stamkos. Jesus Christ, It’s a long shot but don’t be so fucking stupid.

The stamkos rumblings are what got me through the day yesterday. If not for this little thread I could hang onto I would have had an even rougher time dealing with this. If you don’t have a little hope then what do you have?

Sign Stamkos to 10 years at 6-7 million and front load it at 10-11 million the first few years. But tell Yzerman, we are doing it and work a trade. Yes Tampa Bay has room under the cap, but don’t have the budget to pay up to the cap.

At a minimum, you force him to pay more or trade some assets. He has earned that privelage for fleecing us in the Gags trade. Funny, how we over pay for salary (Versteg, Mezaros) but get zero when we move salary, worse, we get some dolt like Walker with a giant salary.
