CAP SPACE (21-man roster): $855,012
That's my new roster. With Bryzgalov wanting a huge contract, it's almost a foregone conclusion that Carle and Hartnell are on their ways out. I would rather not see Carle get traded, but couldn't care less if Hartnell did. This is close to the best case scenario (unless Carter gets traded to either Columbus or Toronto. Not that they're the only two interested, but they're the two big ones. I like this because it's incorporating some of our young talent while keeping most of our depth at the forward and defense positions. Cons include: Gagne because who knows what he's going to do. Wellwood on our third line. I liked what he did when he was up here, but third line is some responsibility. This is also assuming that Read will be NHL ready after playing in the Phantoms for 10+ games.
