It's officially F*ck Pittsburgh Day in Philadelphia. Mayor Nutter signed a declaration and everything. The Flyers have signed Max Talbot for five years, $9 million, and that's a really long contract, even if it is another reason to laugh in the faces of Pens fans.
I've always enjoyed Talbot and he can definitely play his role well quite well in that third line/penalty kill spot. I like it from that perspective quite a bit, and the money is good at just $1.8 million under the cap. The length is the only beef, but since the cap hit is so good, I'm not complaining about it at all.
Also, Pittsburgh sucks. Jagr AND Talbot.
