Special Teams

Okay, so its the middle of June, there is nothing to talk about, so heres an idea i dont think we've discussed yet, how will the special teams look this season. Richards, Carter, Leino, and sometimes Zherdev all played on the PP. That leaves many openings. I think the 10 players to be on the powerplay this year will be Giroux, Briere, JVR, Jagr, Voracek, and Hartnell up front and Pronger, Timmonen, Meszaros, and Carle on the point. i see the PP lines looking like this

JVR- Giroux- Jagr

   Carle-Pronger

Hartnell-Briere-Voracek

  Timmonen-Meszaros

I know their are some issues, id really like to see Briere on the wing to allow him to go for his top shelf slapshot, but i dont see another person to take faceoffs, also id like to see Briere and Giroux together, but again i only see 2 power play centers in this roster. Now onto the Penalty Kill. I think Giroux, Talbot, Betts, and Nodl will be the forwards, with Pronger, Timmonen, Meszaros, and Coburn on D.. also Carle as the extra D and Schenn as the extra forward incase one of the Penalty Killers are the one serving the penalty. id see he lines like this

Giroux-Talbot

Pronger-Coburn

Betts-Nodl                      (Schenn)

Timmonen- Meszaros        (Carle)

okay so i made this post solely for comments and hopefully some good hockey converstation that seems to be rare in this time of year, so please comment with your thoughts
