Danny Syvret Offensive Dynamo: The Blues
http://m.pjstar.com/jstar/pm_29463/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=smIWm4zo
Defenseman Danny Syvret (Offensive Dynamo), who was obtained back this past season, has moved on by signing with the St. Louis Blues. While he's much loved and will be missed, I think it's a good thing as he was highly unlikely to get much playing time here even if we DID manage to resign him, especially with the Lilja signing and the Latvian Wolf coming back.
And so, we say goodbye (for now) to DSOD.
So what say you all about this? Will he be missed? Did anyone think he was deserving of a more prominent spot in the lineup (going as #5 or #6) or did he just not fit right with the rest of the defensive lineup?

yeah - he did deserve more ice time
from what I saw, he seemed like a solid defenseman. More importantly, he didn’t hesitate to shoot the puck. Granted, I’m just a guy on the couch watching the games – but it drove me crazy when the powerplay was going nowhere and they kept turning the puck over while trying to make the perfect setup pass. DSOD struck me as the kind of guy who would take a shot when he had the chance instead of trying to find the best passing option. I think the powerplay could’ve used more shots from the point.
