Jeremy Roenick appears on Jay Mohr's highly unoriginal new show, rips Philly fans

Jay Mohr was funny at one point in his life. I think. He has a new show on some channel that I don't get on my TV, and on this week's edition, he and a bunch of dudes threw out a bunch of cliches about annoying sports fans. You can guess which ones they mentioned about Philadelphia.

It normally wouldn't bug me, but Jeremy Roenick was one of the dudes. Greg Wyshynski at Puck Daddy ripped the video. For that, we thank him, because we're never watching this show.

Yeah, so... J.R. is a hypocrite. He goes from calling us "passionate and respectful" and saying "we fit pretty well together" to THEY BOOED SANTA!!!1 Maybe he's just trying to fit in with this crowd of highly unfunny people on a TV show that'll be canceled in a few months. Oh well.

Anyway, can't wait to see the backpedal next time he's in town. That should be entertaining.

Wow, his typing is terrible. And he calls Philly fans “uneducated losers”.

Look: I’ve always liked Roenick as a player and he is highly entertaining, but I view him in the same way I do Schilling. He is a self-promoting blowhard and I take nothing he says seriously, positively or negatively, because he plays both sides of the fence at all times.

To be fair, it’s twitter. I blame them for the stupid 140 character limit and he’s also on a Blackberry. Combine the two and you get a lot of bad typing mistakes.

Wouldn’t being on a BB(not the Storm) make less typing mistakes? Im not a BB fan from an OS standpoint, but the bolds keyboard is the best in mobil phones.

We got the 4 aces for baseball, 3CBO in football, and the Russian Walls in hockey. Philly is no longer the blue collar losers, were primetime baby!

It’s definitely better with the physical keyboard instead of a soft keypad (which sucks balls on most devices).

As far as typing on it, I don’t have any experience with it; but it does look kinda cramped. There’s also that character limit, which the first twit that justin posted, just misses the cutoff by 1 character.

It’s cool.

I think we need to have an agreement that certain posters just about always mean any pointed things sarcastically unless otherwise noted. I am one of them. The “/s” or sarcasm font just seems to cheapen things, I think.

Love me some J.R. Miss him as a player. Still always weirded me out to see him and Zhamnov on the same squad in Philly. I remember how pissed I was when Chicago traded him away.

(and how psyched I was when he became a Flyer when I moved to Philly.)

My son was born in Ottawa (Go Senators!) to a Father (Go Flyers!) and a Mother (Go Canucks!) who's families root for two different hockey teams (Go Habs!)(Go Bruins!) Little Maxwell is going to have such a confusing life.

I haven’t been in the neighborhood since 1989 so I know I am out of touch. However, I think it is great to have an identity, even if it is the villian.

The saying there’s no such thing as bad publicity may be true. Cause everytime a show mentions Philly regardless the reason, I remember home.

If you guys hadn’t of booed Santa or thrown batteries you may not be mentioned at all.

Now get out there and overturn a bus full of orphans or something.

I don’t think JR did anything wrong. He was definitely the least offensive of the 3 talking about Philly fans. Mainly Mohr and that other idiot Lynn were pushing the issue. JR was tame….trotted out the lame-ass Santa thing, but other than that all he said was Philly fans were crazy, which I think is a good thing for fans Mohr literally called us the worst humans on the planet. Fuck him.

First thing I want to say is I’m NOT a real big JR fan. So saying that, what cracks me up is the headline Travis uses for this article….“rips Philly fans” . He didn’t rip philly fans! He’s just repeating what everyones been been saying for the last 30 years. Old news! He also made that comment because he thought us Philly fans would take it as a compliment not as an insult. Like Manny….Jeremy being Jeremy.

The Picture of that Flyers fan.

First off, I would like to give a shout out to the guys that run this site. It’s awesome. Anyways, A friend of mine showed me this video because I am that Flyers fan thats shouting at the camera. The show seems lame, but I am glad that I was represented. The big picture is that we are die hard fans, and not many people understand that. They just can’t wrap their minds around it. And I really don’t care what they think. I am proud to be a fan of the Flyers, Phillies, Eagles, and Sixers.
