DaiglesList : Flyers Fan Memorabilia Marketplace
Just wanted to make a post where we could buy/sell/trade amongst ourselves all the stuff we have and don't want or all the stuff we've wanted but could never find. I know there are a bunch of us out there that have boxes and boxes of stuff that we can't find room for in our apartments or our girlfriends won't let us put up in our apartments (sigh).
So I figured we could use this thread to that end. Post if you're looking for a certain piece of memorabilia or if you are looking to get rid a bunch of your stuff.

I’m looking for anyone who has an extra retired number banner. I have Bernie’s but would love to have the other three.

As I said in the other, if I still have it (I’m 95% sure I do), you can have my Ashbee.

That’d be awesome. One less thing you have to pack!
Also, we need to talk bobblehead trade. You and Erin have doubles that you were looking to unload right?

you don’t unload doubles until you’re at least engaged…

Haha. Monica wants to sell one of our Phils boxed sets but I secretly want to hold on to it just in case.

Also, since I’m broke if someone was interested in some original artwork or a poster of hand chosen players or something let me know and depending on how intensive or whatever I’ll give you a quote.

This may be an offer I try to take you up on at a later date, if you’re willing to let it stand for a while.

Definitely.
Let me guess. The French Canadian special: Giroux, Gagne, and Desjardin?

Maybe…
But I was actually thinking more along the lines of doing a gift for my fiance; having you draw something, get it printed really nice, and then try to get it autographed by the player and frame it for him.

Sweet. Between having your services available for hire and living less than 2 miles from the Skate Zone, it wouldn’t be that hard to pull it off.

You’d have to get one for me though too. :) I’d pay to print that one obviously. Or maybe you’ll just have to tell me when you’re going and I’ll tag along. Never been to a practice.

Some practices are more interesting than others, depending on what they work on that day. And you can’t always get them to sign stuff, but if they wouldn’t stop the day you came you could just leave it with me and we’d get it eventually. It depends on who it is, too.
Practices get really crowded at the very beginning and again when the playoffs arrive, too. There’s almost always people there, but there’s a big difference between the days there’s 75 people and when there’s 500+ people.

I have an extra copy of Kerry Frasers The Final Call I would like to trade for a copy of The Good, the Bad & the Ugly Philadelphia Flyers: Heart-pounding, Jaw-dropping, and Gut-wrenching Moments from Philadelphia Flyers History
"All hail the Flyers" Jim Jackson.
tGtBtU is ok. It’s not fantastic, not awful. I’m part of the way through Orange, Black & Blue which I think is superior.

My uncle got it when it came out and I keep forgetting to borrow it from him. I really want to though. That and “Walking Together Forever” is on my list of stuff to read.

Also I just got “Fire on Ice”…the first 8 pages are pretty cool. I’m looking forward to getting into it. It’s pretty dense though. I’m surprised it’s so massive.

I read it and enjoyed it, but with a caveat. It’s well written and a good read, but I was really uncomfortable with the chapter format. It alternates timelines; the odd numbered chapters tell his life story from when he was a kid, and the even numbered chapters handle the few days leading up to and following the accident in serious detail. I tried to read it the way it was written, but eventually I gave up and read all the odd numbered chapters and then all the even numbered ones. I might have the roles of odd and even transposed, since I got it from the library and don’t have it handy.

How is that? As in your opinion of the book itself, not just relative to TGTBTU. I’ve really been wanting to read that, but I haven’t acquired it yet.

I like it. It’s a lot of stuff I already knew but there are more nuggets of things I didn’t that I didn’t expect. To be honest I’m not that far through it and the last time I read any of it was when I wasn’t living at home…so over a year. I do remember that I liked it and it had more personality to it.
