Bloody hell. We’re not that far away from the point where the number of guys who have had a diagnosed concussion will outnumber the ones that haven’t

diagnosed and reported. for all we know, using the current standards for diagnosis and reporting, at any given point last year half the guys in the league had them.

Agreed. And we’ve always known that a lot of people got concussions that went undiagnosed, but this is off the charts.

You could probably make a pretty nice team out of all the NHL players out with concussions right now.

I think puck daddy did that a few months ago when Mike Richards was out with a concussion….

Yeah, I avoid PD like the plague so I never saw it.

Travis did something very, very similar at the same time PD did. They were both linked in a Fly By (I’m pretty sure), but understood.

Yeah, Puck Daddy did a “Concussion All-Star” team.
Madly in love with Jaromir Jagr's brilliant smile and epic goal salute.
Sean Couturier and Matt Read for joint Calder Trophy winners!

oh hell. Time to get better helmets. I don’t care if they all look like Atom Ant! I’m tired of this crap
Helmets are there to protect mostly from skull fractures…I know there is research into making helmets that protect against concussions, but a concussion is about the brain bouncing around in the head, not about someone punching your skull. A mouthguard is still one of the best ways to prevent a concussion, I believe.
