Jake Voracek's HC Lev Praha will be on live TV next Tuesday.
The KHL and ESPN announced earlier this week that several KHL games will be broadcast on ESPN3.com, the "Worldwide Leader's" Internet streaming service, over the next few weeks. One of those games features HC Lev Praha, Jakub Voracek's temporary home in the KHL. That's good news.
But even better news! Tuesday's Lev Praha game against Dynamo Moscow will be carried live not only on ESPN3.com, but also on ESPN2. Yes, that's hockey on actual American television. Via an ESPN press release:
Coverage begins Tuesday, October 9 at 1 p.m. ET with ESPN SportsCenter anchor Steve Levy and NHL studio analyst Barry Melrose calling the Lev vs. Dynamo Moscow game live on ESPN2 and ESPN3. The game will re-air in primetime on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. ET and will air on delay on ESPN in the UK (Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. BST).
At least seven games will be on ESPN3.com, but it seems as though this is the only game scheduled to be on actual television. It does appear as though ESPN has left room to add more games in the future, though. I'd expect more KHL games to be added to the schedule in the future. Hopefully Voracek will be back in Philly by then, though.
