I live in Cleveland, OH so there obviously isn't much Flyers coverage (or even NHL for that matter) around here. This site is pretty much my 1 and only source of GOOD Flyers info/analysis since I found it. I figured the awesome community on here might know the answer to this question.
I remember Betts being waived. I remember him being sent back to the Flyers because of a knee injury. I am pretty sure I remember him being quoted he could play through it or something to that effect, but the Montreal(I think it was?) doctors said no.
I am damn near certain teams aren't supposed to waive injured players. But I swear I recall this knee injury allegedly being 'minor'. Well 3/4 though the season isn't very minor. So at this point were the Flyers really just trying to be crafty and sneak through damaged goods or are they intentionally keeping Betts under wraps some how? It is probably better for their cap scenario that he is still LTIR (I presume anyways). Just wondering what happened to the guy, I thought he was a good solid 4th liner.
