For all you guys looking for Kronwall stuff, this is not the fan post nor does it have anything to do with that. Last night, sitting lower level after the game had ended, a 40 year old woman turned to a couple behind myself and my father and hit the girl in the face with a full 24 oz beer after the flyers had won. I have seen worse, but it didn't leave me feeling any less disgusted. I am actually embarrassed. I found myself apologizing for something I never did nor had any association with besides the color orange. And that's what really bothers me.

For one, she was there with her boyfriend ( a flyers fan ) and both had kept to themselves. I've seen way worse in philly, but this was totally out of line and uncalled for. Worse yet, the girl probably lives here as a local. It's not like she is some drunk maniac yelling and screaming at you the entire game. It's not like she was cursing out you and your family. She was there to watch a hockey game with her boyfriend.

The woman who threw the cup, wasn't a 20 year old college punk either. This was someone old enough to have had multiple kids and I watched her double fist 24 oz's all night. She probably drove home drunk next to you and I.

Watching the poor girl cry in disbelief, I felt disgusted to be a fan associated with this crap. I feel that most flyers fans, and philly fans in general are hard working, decent and honest people. I feel the vast majority of us, even the hecklers, realize it is just a game. It's all fun and games for the most part.

I'll be the first to tell you, that in Philly you get what you ask for. Ask for nothing, and you'll be fine. Ask for trouble, and...

But can we cut the stupid bs out there. The people who go to games to start fights aren't real fans, you're bandwagoners and you should go root for the rangers or the pens. You think it's cool to get so blasted you can't walk upright to your car and you still drive home. You're the people who recklessly speed in the parking lots when families are walking by. You are a detriment to our game and our city. Seriously, I am proud to be a flyers fan because I love the way our team plays hockey. I could care less about what happen before or after the game, much less in the stands.

And this is the kind of crap the national media loves to throw in our face. So next time, stay home and away from wells fargo if you're going to bring this trash into the game. You don't deserve the privilege of enjoying great hockey, with great people. I don't care if you're an away fan or a home fan, this is a great game and this crap has no business near it.
