3-9 -- Mark the Flyers' record in Game 1s post-lockout improves to after their epic overtime comeback win Wednesday night in Pittsburgh. Still woeful, but better than 2-10, amirite?
Both previous wins came in 2010, and both came in series (against New Jersey and Montreal) that the Flyers eventually won in five.
The Flyers now have as many post-lockout wins in Game 1s as they do in Game 7s (Washington 2008, Boston 2010, Buffalo 2011) which is a thoroughly ridiculous statistic when you think about it.
