Looks like Joe Vitale caused both injuries. I think we need to go New Orleans Saints on him. Would it be possible to hire Sean Payton for a year just so we can see how these things are run, you know, behind-the-scenes?
Both injuries are a bit surprising. I'm surprised Briere is hurt as badly as he is, considering he got right up. Also, I'm surprised Grossmann isn't out for longer than 7-10 days, given the usual outcome of knee-on-knee collisions. This is wholly disappointing though - I really wanted Briere for the playoffs, and Grossmann has been perhaps the team's most consistent defenseman against top competition since the Flyers acquired him.
I hate Pittsburgh. So. Much.
