Sean Couturier is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury after getting cut in some way by David Clarkson in the first period of Game 3 on Thursday night against the Devils, the team announced this afternoon. These are times when we should be thankful there are two days off between Games 3 and 4.
It's hard to see from looking at the play exactly what happened. A peek after the jump.
He left the game after skating off there and did not return.
It's no surprise that Couturier is vital to the team's success. He's the best defensive forward on the team and with the Flyers down 2-1 in the series, losing him in Game 4 would be tough to overcome. Let's all hope he's able to play come Sunday evening.
