I was deleting old files on my computer and came across some calculations I did about Ovechkin's 07-08 65g season versus Gretzky's 81-82 92g season.
| player | year | games | goals | gpg | league g | league games | league gpg | gpg/Lgpg | |||
| ovechkin | 2007-2008 | 82 | 65 | 0.79 | 6691 | 1230 | 5.44 | 0.146 | |||
| gretzky | 1981-1982 | 80 | 92 | 1.15 | 6741 | 840 | 8.03 | 0.143 |
Basically, I think that as a ratio of individual goals per game to league goals per game, the seasons were about equal.
Probably should also compare Stamkos last year too.
Man, I bored with CBA talks...
