Ruslan Fedotenko led all Donbass Donetsk forwards in ice time but was quiet on the offensive side of the puck in his team's 2-1 loss to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in KHL action Tuesday afternoon.
Donbass opened the scoring on the power play just two minutes into the second period when Petteri Wirtanen, a 26-year-old who played a handful of games as a call up with the Anaheim Ducks five years ago, slammed home a loose rebound through Lokomotiv goaltender Vitaly Kolesnik. The home team responded, however, with goals from Niklas Hagman and Alexander Chernikov in the third period to lift themselves to victory.
Despite tallying 17:55 in total ice time on the evening, Fedotenko only put one shot on net in the entire contest. He was a team-worst seven-for-18 in the faceoff circle as well. Former Flyers Oskars Bartulis, a teammate of Fedotenko's in Donetsk,
