This P.K. Subban jinx didn't work

We tried, P.K.

P.K. Subban is a Montreal Canadien until the summer of 2014.

While it was a nice little dream we had going there for a while about the Habs' best defenseman potentially leaving town to save the Flyers defense, it won't be happening. Not for another few years, at the very least. Probably not ever.

And unfortunately for us, this means our undercover mission in Montreal didn't work out as planned. We can't confirm that it was a Secret Philadelphian working in the Canadiens ticket office who tried to pull off the jinx of the century, but we'll just assume that was the case.

See, the Flyers will head to Montreal twice this year, and if you're a season ticket holder for the Habs, your ticket for the April 15 Flyers vs. Canadiens game at Bell Centre features the face of P.K. Subban. Could you imagine how hilarious that would have been if Subban showed up in Flyers orange that night?

Alas, no luck. The Flyers will have to look for other options to improve their defense. The trade deadline is April 3.
