Bruce Bennett

Previewing the first of six road games, Foster makes the case for no-touch icing, and the return of Brian Boucher in today's Morning Fly By.

Today's open discussion thread, complete with your daily dose of Philadelphia Flyers-related news and notes...

*The Flyers ended their four game homestand on a high note Saturday afternoon, beating the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 in OT. (BSH)

*Tonight's game in Toronto marks the beginning of the Flyers' longest road trip of the season. The Maple Leafs are coming off of a huge win against Montreal Saturday night, so here's hoping the Flyers bring a full 60-minute effort at the ACC. Check back for the BSH rundown this afternoon, in the meantime preview the match-up at Flyers.com.

*The Flyers might want to watch their appendages tonight, 'cause the Leafs are biting people now. (Pension Plan Puppets)

*Boosh is back! We'll probably see him in net on Tuesday against the Jets. (Hockeybuzz)

*Luke Schenn is looking forward to his first trip back to Toronto since the Flyers acquired him from the Leafs in exchange for JVR last June. (CSN Philly)

*Defenseman Kurtis Foster is a walking endorsement for no-touch icing. (Philly.com)

*This GIF of Martin Brodeur falling down is hilarious... (Backhand Shelf)

*...but this video of a giant bird getting loose at an ECHL game is even funnier. The play-by-play is really what makes it. (Deadspin)
