Another tough Canadian test invades the WFC tonight

Stay connected for news and updates

Following a dramatic, come from behind victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday afternoon, the Flyers look to keep that momentum going by welcoming in former number 2 overall pick, and New Jersey native, James van Riemsdyk and the Toronto Maple Leafs into South Philadelphia. Tonight's game should be a hard fought battle after what took place up in Toronto a few short weeks ago. That game, which ended rather poorly for the orange and the black, will probably still be fresh in the players minds tonight as they look to pick up some much needed points in this strike-shortened season. Since that meeting at the Air Canada Centre back on February 11, these two teams have gone in opposite directions.

The Maple Leafs have suffered some unfortunate injury losses, while the Flyers are finally starting to get healthy, with

the exception of the recent loss of Matt Read for an extended amount of time. In tonight's match-up,the Flyers will be

with both Scott Hartnell and Sean Couturier, who missed the game in Toronto with a foot injury and illness,

respectively. It is going to be interesting to see how the Flyers respond after such a hard fought victory over the

weekend and a few days to rest. I will be in attendance tonight, as I was on Saturday afternoon, so it is a safe bet that I

will be posting my thoughts during the game and after. Look for the Flyers to come out faster than they did against

Winnipeg and hopefully jump ahead to an early lead, instead of playing from behind, as this team seems to do.
