The Flyers welcome the Hurricanes into the Wells Fargo Center for the second time in a week.

It's an afternoon game today, so we'll roll the preview into the start of today's discussion thread. The Flyers opened this homestand against the Carolina Hurricanes last Saturday, and today they'll wrap it up before heading out on the road to Toronto, Winnipeg, New Jersey, Montreal, Long Island and Pittsburgh.

Wayne Simmonds could be back in the lineup today, which would be a) great considering his concussion doesn't seem that serious and b) a huge boost to the lineup. It could bump Tye McGinn out of a top-line spot he's performed well with, but all things considered, it's a good problem to have for Peter Laviolette.

Let's catch up with what Carolina's done since we last met, via Canes Country:

The Hurricanes followed up their 5-3 loss last Saturday with a 4-1 road win on Monday against the Toronto Maple Leafs and a 3-2 overtime win against the Ottawa Senators on Thursday.

In a quick reversal of fortune, the Canes went from a woeful 0-for-3 on the penalty kill versus the Flyers to a perfect 8-for-8 in the two games since.

In addition, Cam Ward has played really well in two starts this week and the Staal brothers basically provide all of the Hurricanes offense -- 12 of their 25 total goals.

Questions to Answer

1. Can the Flyers limit the Staal bros?

2. If Wayne Simmonds plays, how does he look?

3. And how does Peter Laviolette shakeup the lineup to fit him in?

4. please no shootout please no shootout etc

It's a 1 p.m. puck drop at the Wells Fargo Center. Go Flyers.
