Nicklas Grossmann has left tonight's Flyers vs. Rangers game and will not return due to a lower-body injury, according to the team.

Grossmann played 5 minutes, 52 seconds of hockey in the first period, including the final shift of the period. It was an uneventful ten second shift to close out the first. He touched the puck once and skated around the defensive end a bit. He didn't appear to be laboring at all as he moved in front of the goal crease, nor did he seem to have any issue skating to the locker room for intermission.

Losing Grossmann is obviously a pretty big loss for the Flyers. He blocks a lot of shots for the Flyers, plays on the penalty kill and at five-on-five is usually given the toughest assignments alongside partner Braydon Coburn. Let's hope it's something minor and that he'll be ready to go by Thursday vs. Pittsburgh.
