Friday Morning Fly By: Unacceptable.

Drew Hallowell

Way to ruin everyone's Friday, Flyers.

Today's open discussion thread, complete with your daily dose of Philadelphia Flyers-related news and notes...

*Well that was a pretty gross loss last night. Not a lot to say about it. Recaps, if you're a masochist: BSH, Flyers.com, Philly.com, CSN Philly, NHL.com.

*Obviously the big news yesterday was Chris Pronger addressing the media. It was predictably depressing. (BSH)

*The NHLPA approved the league's realignment plan. (SB Nation)

*Turns out EVERYONE loves the Pens-Flyers rivalry. It really is the best in the game. (NHL.com)

*No one is counting last year towards the Blackhawks' fake winning streak since counting last year is stupid and makes no sense. (Puck Daddy)

*If you call yourself a journalist, you can't just make stuff up. Even on Twitter. (Backhand Shelf)

*What will win you more games, taking lots of shots or landing lots of hits? The answer may surprise you (spoiler alert: no it won't). (NHL Numbers)

*Frazer McLaren's (great name, btw) KO of the Senators' David Dziurzynski the other night has reinvigorated the age-old "does fighting have a place in hockey?" debate. (Yahoo! Sports)

*NHL teams are starting to embrace the Nate Silver-ization of sports analysis. (CBC)

*And finally, a good old-fashioned hip check to take you into the weekend. (Puck Daddy)
