So I was looking at the Flyers goalie situation for next year. Anyways if the Flyers buy out Bryz (which I think they should consider doing) then the Flyers are left in a tough spot. Mason has played well down the stretch but the sample size is too small to really learn anything about his play for next year.
Anyways I was thinking about who they could bring in and realized that Tim Thomas is a free agent next year. Now I have no idea if Thomas has any desire to play in the NHL next year, but if he does I think the Flyers should consider singing him.
I can't imagine the Flyers would have to pay a ton to sign him (after all its not often players sit out a year for no reason so Thomas probably can't go into negotiations demanding 5 million per year). If they can get Thomas for cheap then I think it might be a good risk to try.
I think we are all excited about Stolarz in the OHL with London and how he is performing, but he wont be NHL ready for a bit so we need someone to fill that gap.
