Poll - Would you trade them today?

The LA Kings come to town with a couple of old friends. Mike Richards and Jeff Carter are returning to Philly where they got their NHL start.

Not many were shocked when the Flyers traded Jeff Carter to Columbus. But nearly everyone's jaw dropped when we heard Mike Richards was also traded to the Kings.

So was it worth it? Not an easy answer. The Kings went on to win the Stanley Cup. But Richie and Jeff were merely small pieces in LA rather than the "centerpieces" they were here in Philly. They did their part surely, but the Kings defense and Jonathon Quick playing "out-of-his-mind" in goal had a lot more to winning than the former Flyers centers.

Here are the deals:

Carter for Voracek, Couturier, and Nick Cousins(Phantoms)

Richards for Simmonds and Brayden Schenn
