Snowed In Open Thread: Friday Night Hockey
So with all the snow that's supposed to hammer us tonight, I'm not going anywhere. I am settling in to watch some hockey on this Friday night though, in particular the Devils and Leafs in Kovalchuk's debut. Other games tonight: ATL at WSH, CAR at BUF, CGY at FLA, and PHX at CHI. That last game should be a really good one as well. Who else is just sitting around tonight?

Son of a bitch!
Richards needs to be sent to the AHL, stripped of the C, and Carter needs to be put on the 4th line. Their performances tonight catalyzes the Flyers position as a Cellar Dweller this season. Also, Fire Emery and JVR. JVR contributed to the goals scored against the flyers. What was he, -4 tonight? Son of a bitch!
Carcillo and Roenick
Dan Carcillo was doing a Jeremy Roenick impression at the last preseason game. He was throwing a few pucks to some little Flyers fans. He's a good guy and hopefully he has a good year.

NHL Network on Comcast
Does anyone know when the NHL Network is supposed to start on Comcast? If so, what channel and what package do you need?

Capitals-Thrashers on CSN Philly tonight
Just a heads up: If you want to watch some hockey and you're in Philly, the Caps and Thrashers are on Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia right now.
A trend with fired coaches...
To begin the season, four NHL teams played games overseas: Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, Ottawa, and the NY Rangers. Barry Melrose, Tampa's coach, was fired. Same goes for Pittsburgh's Michel Therrien and Ottawa's Craig Hartsburg. Hm... is it a coincidence that Rangers coach Tom Renney's job is rumored to be in jeopardy?
Comcast customers: NHL Center Ice free preview this week
I can't find a link anywhere, but I just saw it on my TV, so believe me on this one. If you have Comcast Digital Cable, you have a free preview of NHL Center Ice this week. The package starts on channel 771 for me, and I think that's a Comcast-wide thing. So check your TV guide, folks. I'm pretty sure it lasts until Sunday's games. At the very least, you'll get Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday night.
