Philadelphia Flyers tickets: Games vs. Jets, Predators provide good deals this week

Flyersweekahead_medium

Those are average Philadelphia Flyers ticket prices, courtesy of our friends at TiqIQ, for the three home games this week at the Wells Fargo Center. You can get in for basically nothing, but if you want good seats, expect to pay around the average price listed above.

It's no surprise that a divisional game on a Saturday is going to cost you more than a mid-week game against Winnipeg or Nashville, so maybe the graph is just telling us what we already know. But the news here is that if you want to go to a game this week, you should probably snap up some tickets tonight or Thursday. The Devils suck anyway.

As a reminder, you can get great deals on Flyers tickets right here at Broad Street Hockey.

There's a fancy Tickets button that always resides at the top of the page, and if you click it, you can find deals on every remaining home game. You can even make your own offer on select games, which works pretty darn well from personal experience. Just click the offer button on the BSH Tickets page for more info on how to do that.

Winter Classic Tickets: Hey, so there is a lottery after all

Good news!

Remember that whole thing about how the Flyers didn't anticipate any public sale of Winter Classic tickets? Well, hey... there's a very slim chance that you can get your hands on some of the few tickets that will be made publicly available, after all.

The NHL announced today that there will be a lottery for tickets. You have ten days to enter this contest, beginning at 12 p.m. ET today and ending at 11:59 a.m. ET on November 27. You'll learn if you've won by December 1, and you'll have until December 8 to purchase the tickets you've won the right to buy. You can buy two tickets if you win.

Full official contest rules here. You can't enter if you live in Canada, which sucks. Must be 18 and live in one of the 50 states of the District of Columbia. Enter the contest here. Flood the thing so at the very least, Rangers fans don't get these.

Winter Classic Tickets: Get your hands on Phantoms vs. Bears tickets for January 6

Via Tim McManus of the Glens Falls Post Star, some absolutely great news regarding tickets to the outdoor events at Citizens Bank Park:

Tickets for Phantoms outdoor game w/ Hershey at Citizens Bank Park on Jan. 6 have just gone on sale exclusively at phantomshockey.com

To get your hands on these, head to this link and enter promo code WCPHA. Tickets run from $10 to $40. Dirt. Cheap. We're guessing the $10 tickets are pretty horrible seats with basically no view of the ice, but you get what you pay for and all that.

We wrote earlier this week about how you're probably not going to get tickets to the Flyers vs. Rangers game on January 2. That's still the case. We also wrote about how the Flyers are making season ticket holders and partial plan holders order tickets to all three games: the Alumni Game, the Phantoms game and the January 2 showcase between the Flyers and Rangers. Because of this, tickets to all three games are going to be extremely difficult to grab.

We're guessing this allotment is intended for Phantoms fans up in Glens Falls, but that's the magic of the Internet. We'd expect that they'll go fast, so if you want to guarantee your shot at getting to an outdoor game at Citizens Bank Park, this might just be your best bet.

Win Philadelphia Flyers tickets with SB Nation, BSH and TiqIQ!

We talked a bit the other night about our partners at TiqIQ, and you can get tickets to any Philadelphia Flyers game right here at Broad Street Hockey thanks to that partnership. See that Tickets link on that orange bar up there? Yeah, it's always there, and I can tell you from experience that the deals are pretty great.

So that's awesome. Even more awesome is the chance to win FREE tickets, and that's what we have here today in a contest that's running across SB Nation's hockey network.

  1. Follow @TiqIQ on Twitter.
  2. Tweet us (@BroadStHockey) with the name of the player you think will be leading the Flyers in penalty minutes as of November 30, 2011, the number of penalty minutes he'll have at that point, and the hashtag #TakeASeat (see the graphic below for an example).
  3. Entries must be made on or before October 31, 2011.
  4. The winner - matching the player and the number of PIMs - will be announced on December 9, 2011.

Philadelphia Flyers Tickets: Great Individual Game Deals Available From BSH

Flyersfirst5_2_medium

You've likely noticed that individual game tickets on the Philadelphia Flyers website are ridiculously priced for the coming season, upwards of $81 for the last row of the upper bowl (!). Well, it's time for a new season, and as a friendly reminder, you can get tickets to the game right here at Broad Street Hockey

Through us, you won't pay that absurd price. Not all tickets are priced at that extreme at value through the team, when you consider season ticket holders and partial plans and special email offers that are sold much cheaper. In fact, that means most tickets are sold considerably cheaper than what you see listed for individual games.

But if you're not signed up for a Flyers email list or you're not able or willing to plop down the money for a season plan, you're basically screwed when it comes to getting tickets. Go look at the Flyers website. Individual game tickets are... expensive, to say the least.

But we have some pretty fantastic deals for every game this season, and you won't pay anything close to the $81 dollar minimum the Flyers are charging. Yes, that includes tickets for tomorrow's home opener against the Vancouver Canucks, and yes, that includes tickets to Saturday's game against Mike Richards and the Los Angeles Kings.

Introducing The BSH Flyers Ticket Center

Flyers__1__medium

We're excited to debut a new feature here today: the BSH Flyers Ticket Center. With help from TiqIQ, we're able to present a pretty unique destination for those of us looking for tickets to a Flyers game, whether that game be at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philly or at Staples Center in LA or anywhere in between.

It's more than just Ticketmaster or StubHub. The BSH Flyers Ticket Center offers aggregated listings from all the different online ticket re-sellers: StubHub, eBay, Ticketsnow, TicketNetwork, etc. It's one stop shopping for Flyers tickets. You can compare prices and purchase tickets, but really, you can do so much more than that.

The Ticket Center breaks the arena into sections called "TiqZones," or basically, the different areas of the arena. The 100's Corner, the 100's Center, the 100's End, the 200's Corner, etc. After breaking the arena down into these areas, the BSH Flyers Ticket Center gives us access to a multitude of data, such as...

- the current average price of tickets in any given TiqZone of the arena...

- the complete pricing history, from the day tickets went on sale to today, of tickets in any given TiqZone, allowing us to look at trends and figure out when the smartest time to buy tickets might be...

- the weekly change in the price of the tickets in a given TiqZone...

-  the percentage above or below face value a ticket is currently selling for...

- the percentage above or below the average ticket price a ticket is currently selling for...

- a simple little icon, color-coded to easily note if a ticket is a good deal, a bad deal or a neutral deal, and more.

Most importantly, you can buy tickets right through the BSH Flyers Ticket Center, and if you take a quick peek, you'll notice that there are plenty of tickets to be had this time of year below face value. Can't argue there.

It's pretty cool stuff if we say so ourselves, and we're excited to have the opportunity to bring it here to BSH. We'll also be using some of TiqIQ's data, including stuff like that chart above, to discuss the trends surrounding tickets to Flyers games and the like. We can scrounge up and discover how things like rivalries and certain players and how well the Flyers are playing impact ticket prices, and we'll drop in that stuff amidst our usual daily conversation around here from time to time.

To access the BSH Flyers Ticket Center, click one of the thousand links we dropped in this story, or better yet, click the "Tickets' button that you can see on the orange navigation bar on any page at BSH. Let us know if you have any questions or feedback.
