The games just seem more important every single day, don't they? This one is huge. The Capitals come into South Philly tonight amidst a modest slump. So far in March, they've picked up just three points in five games. On top of that, the Flyers are 2-1 in the season series this year, the most recent being a spirited come-from-behind win a few weeks back. So it's needless to say that Caps fans aren't the most confident bunch heading into tonight's game.
What about us, though? For all of the inverse reasons, we should be very confident heading into tonight. The Flyers have looked great in every aspect of the game in the past two. They will get Danny Briere back into the lineup tonight, although at this point we have to wonder whether that is a good thing or not.
A Flyers win tonight will seriously close that gap between third and fourth place. They'd be four points back of the Caps with three games in hand. Huge.
Between The Pipes: Martin Biron has been playing lights out lately, and he'll get his fourth straight start tonight. Jose Theodore goes for the Caps.
Questions To Answer
- Briere. Simply put, what happens?
- Marty Biron is asserting himself as the number one guy. Can he keep it up?
- The Flyers played a
week(wow, terrible typo) weak first 40 minutes last time these teams met before storming back in the third period. Can they avoid that? - How much momentum does Washington have, coming off of a come from behind win on Tuesday night against Nashville?
Go Flyers.
