It's a big day today as the Flyers finally return to the ice in an NHL arena. They are in Detroit for an 11 AM skate at Joe Louis Arena this morning before taking on the Red Wings in their first preseason test this evening at 7 PM. The game will not be televised but you can catch it live on 610 WIP. 16 days until the regular season begins.

- The Flyers and Sixers have reached a new agreement with 610 WIP in which Comcast-Spectacor will manage all programming and advertising responsibilities during game broadcasts, instead of the previous set up where WIP covered those responsibilities. [Daily News]
