It's happened many a time: I've joked on Twitter about a potential shutout, only to get yelled at by fans from all across the tri-state area. Yet, in two of the last three games, Ilya Bryzgalov and the Flyers have shutout out the opposing team -- both Southeast Division clubs, too. Tonight, it was a 5-0 win against the Florida Panthers that showed off the best of what this team has to offer.
The goals came from everywhere. Matt Read, Brayden Schenn, Eric Wellwood, Scott Hartnell and the probably-injured Jaromir Jagr all put pucks behind Jose Theodore this evening. On the flip side of the token, the defense came up big even with rookie Brandon Manning in the lineup, and Ilya Bryzgalov was pretty fantastic again. 28 saves. Zero goals against. Not bad at all. Seems like Mr. Universe might be getting hot at just the right time ...
All in all, another solid win for the Flyers. On to Toronto this Saturday ...
