(SB Nation) - Craig Adams will not be available for the Pittsburgh Penguins when they try to avoid elimination in Wednesday night's Game 4 against the Philadelphia Flyers. Adams has been suspended one game by the NHL as a result of his fight at the 15:18 mark of the third period during Sunday's Game 3.
Head coach Dan Bylsma has also been fined $10,000 as a result of Adams' actions.
It's an automatic suspension in accordance with Rule 46.12, which states that players cannot instigate fights in the final five minutes of a game, and that coaches responsible for players who do so must pay the hefty fine.
Adams received a minor penalty for instigation, a major penalty for fighting and a game misconduct on the play.
