BSH: Dustin Byfuglien returns to the lineup tonight. What should we expect from him?
AIC: Expect a lot of minutes from Byfuglien his first game back. He's more or less the team's field general, especially when on the powerplay. A rover at heart, look for Byfuglien to put himself in an array of questionable positions tonight, which should result in a few Flyers chances the other way.
It would behoove the Flyers not to sleep on him, as all it takes is one of Big Buff's point blasts to change the complexion of the game.
Do you guys *really* hate Ilya Bryzgalov?
I would say that the distain towards Bryzgalov is more an attempt to get him off his game or a sign of respect than actual hatred. While he was disparaging towards our outdoor recreational facilities and frigid winter climate, I don't think he was being too incendiary, or stating anything other than the obvious.
And while it stings to hear that sort of stuff from an out-of-towner, I think that the ribbing Jets' fans gave Bryz last year was a cleansing of sorts, and many native Peggers are ready to forgive and forget. He will probably still be taunted and booed, but in a playful nature.
3. Is Al Montoya actually your goalie right now? How the hell did that happen, and is he any good at hockey?
Montoya gets the nod again because Ondrej Pavelec is still working his way back after catching the flu late last week. It was reported that he was unable to keep food down until some point on Sunday, so I'd assume he's still not 100% healthy. Furthermore, it's never a bad idea to reward a guy after a thirty-three save shutout, which is what Montoya did Saturday afternoon against the Ottawa Senators.
