The Lehigh Valley Phantoms inaugural schedule was released in full by the American Hockey League on Wednesday. The 76-game set will include 38 home games at the brand-new PPL Center in Allentown.
The season begins October 11 against division rival Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The game is at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre and we'll expect a big Phantoms crowd for their first ever game under the Lehigh Valley banner.
The Phantoms home opener on October 17 will be against the Adirondack Flames. The Phantoms, of course, were the Adirondack Phantoms for the last five years. They'll play their first game in their old home when they visit Adirondack the following night, October 18.
The Phantoms will play two games in Atlantic City this year, both against the Albany Devils, who will be considered the home team those nights. Those games will be at Boardwalk Hall on November 28 and December 14. There will be no Phantoms game in Philadelphia this season.
Lehigh Valley plays just two games out of the Eastern time zone all year, both on back to back nights when they travel to Newfoundland to visit St. John's in January.
The 2013-14 season will conclude with a home game against the WBS Penguins on April 19.
