Danny Briere is a Philadelphia Flyer again

He has a front office job.

That didn't take long.

Just a few months after officially retiring from the NHL, and doing so in a news conference at Skate Zone in Voorhees, former Flyers forward Danny Briere has a job with the team. Via NJ.com, Briere said that he's working in a part-time capacity "learning the ropes" of management with Flyers president Paul Holmgren.

It of course makes perfect sense for Briere, who was pulled into retirement in part because he wanted to spend more time with his teenage sons, who live in Haddonfield. Kind of hard to do that when you're playing with the Colorado Avalanche or whatever.

Briere's one of those guys we always knew would come back to the Flyers, even after he was bought out by Holmgren two summers ago. Next on the list: Kimmo Timonen.
