Dave Hakstol jumbles Flyers lines before Sabres game, splits Giroux and Voracek

New, comments

Big changes in the Flyers lineup.

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

It's not for a lack of trying, but Jakub Voracek doesn't have a goal yet this season. He has the fifth-most shots on goal of anybody in hockey, but no goals. That's enough to let Dave Hakstol try something new.

The Flyers top line will be different on Friday night in Buffalo, with Voracek taking a step down and Wayne Simmonds joining Claude Giroux and Matt Read on the top line. Voracek will be centered by Scott Laughton with Brayden Schenn on the other wing.

On defense, Brandon Manning is out and Radko Gudas is in. Here are full lines for both teams, via John Boruk who blocked me on Twitter so screw it he's not getting a link.

Read - Giroux - Simmonds 1st Line Deslauriers - O'Reilly - Foligno
B. Schenn - Laughton - Voracek 2nd Line Larsson - Eichel - Reinhart
Gagner - Raffl - Umberger 3rd Line Moulson - Girgensons - Gionta
Lecavalier - VandeVelde - White 4th Line Legwand - Schaller - McGinn
Del Zotto - Streit 1st D Pair Gorges - Ristolainen
Schultz - L. Schenn 2nd D Pair McCabe - Franson
Manning - Medvedev 3rd D Pair Colaiacovo - Pysyk

Bless us, for we have witnessed Luke Schenn and Nick Schultz as a pairing. Michal Neuvirth in goal.
