It's Simon Gagne retirement night

New, comments

With Philly: 11 seasons, 691 games, 264 goals, 535 points. Heck yeah.

How can you not love that moment? Down 3-0 in the series, down 3-0 in Game 7... and boom. There's longtime Philadelphia Flyer Simon Gagne, scoring the final goal of the comeback to get his team to the next round.

It was awesome. It was one of many awesome moments throughout Gagne's time with Philadelphia, the team he spent the majority of his career with. He didn't help them win a Cup, but he came close; and he did end up winning one with the Los Angeles Kings, the team the Flyers are hosting tonight.

And tonight is his night.

(Not to be confused with Sam Gagner, who is nice in his own right, but is... not one of the best Flyers to just retire.

Because apparently NHL Network got confused, and showed Gagner highlights. There are actually way more Gagne highlights to choose from...)

How can you not be excited?
