Philadelphia Flyers qualify RFA Michael Del Zotto

The FLyers have no intention letting Michael Del Zotto go. And if they get their way, he'll be a Flyer for a while yet.

The 25-year-old defenceman played 64 games for the Flyers this past season, scoring 10 goals and 32 points. He was the Flyers' second highest scoring defender, behind only Mark Streit.

Keeping Del Zotto a Flyer a while longer is obviously the goal. The first step in re-signing him is to qualify him, and that part's taken care of. An actual deal should be on its way soon enough, but in the meantime, his rights are still the Flyers'.
