*Folks, you are not allowed to ask Santa Claus for any gifts this year. He already brought you Ivan Provorov. He made Chicago Blackhawks sad on Saturday; RECAP!

*But seriously, this kid is so special. [BSH]

*AND THEN the Flyers kept the streak rolling in Nashville! WOOOOOOOOO RECAP!

*Speaking of Saturday's game, it was the annual Dads game, which always warms the heart and the soul (if you have these). [Inquirer]

*Another fun thing that happened was the 'Hawks had to sign an emergency backup for the game, and he just so happened to be a Temple alum and Flyers fan. [Inquirer]

*So we are nearly a third of the way through the regular season, and that seems like a good time to take a look at how the Flyers are performing on the whole thus far. [Sports Talk Philly]

*Poor Pascal Laberge was able to come back for a bit after being out following a terrible hit to the head, but the kid is out again with concussion symptoms. Really hope he can fully recover. [Sons of Penn]

*Local Boy T.J. Brennan is finding a nice comfy niche up in Allentown with the Phantoms. [Courier-Post]

*Speaking of the Phantom, they got off to a slow start this year but hoo boy have they turned it on. [Highland Park Hockey]

*And finally, on the role of the modern NHL defender. Good read, this. [Hockey Graphs]
