The Philadelphia Flyers announced their 2016 preseason schedule on Tuesday, and they'll play eight games against four teams.
Regular preseason opponents New Jersey and both New York teams are on the schedule, with a twist coming this year in the form of the Boston Bruins. The B's are not a typical preseason opponent for the Flyers. They'll play a home-and-home series with each of the four teams, with the home game against the Devils being played at PPL Center in Allentown.
The preseason begins Sept. 26 with a split-squad series in the New York area: one game against the Devils in New Jersey and one against the Islanders in Brooklyn. The preseason ends a little late this year on October 8, likely due to the World Cup of Hockey, which will be played throughout much of the NHL training camp period in September and early October.
