It's Emancipation Day in the Netherlands Antilles, and that means it's time for NHL Free Agency!
As always, the free agency period -- and thus, officially, the 2016-17 NHL year -- kicks off at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT, and it's expected to be a busy one as always, even if the Flyers aren't necessarily going to be one of the busiest teams yet again this year. Ron Hextall doesn't really like this day all that much.
Here are some resources for you today.
- NHL Network in the United States and Sportsnet in Canada will have live coverage.
- SB Nation has a running tracker of all the free agency moves.
