As the Philadelphia Flyers’ season starts to get underway - including some players already taking part in the World Cup of Hockey - the Philadelphia Phillies’ season is ending.
With just a couple of weeks left in the regular season, it’s time for the yearly changing of the sports guard. And we kind of got to see some of that, as various Flyers attended batting practice before the Phillies hunkered down to take on the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sept. 15.
Not only that, but Michael Del Zotto threw out the first pitch, too.
And here it is!
Hardly a strike, but hey - Del Zotto took the mound, and his ball made it to Cody Asche’s glove (who was serving as catcher for Del Zotto), so it’s all good.
