The Flyers played their first afternoon game of the season yesterday and after a bit of a bumpy start it ended in an exciting 2-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers. The Flyers allowed way too many turnovers and gave the Oilers way too many chances, but thanks to some late game heroics by Wayne Simmonds came away with two points.
Kelly had some post-game thoughts about line combinations, Andrew MacDonald, and Travis Sanheim during her Facebook Live reaction chat, in which she learned that quite a few of you are from the Canadian plains. Who knew?
